The Selfliment

I was just gchatting with a friend and we named something I love do all the time because I think I’m all that like to compliment my friends. Here’s an example:

Kelley:  thanks stupid! thanks for the mouse! see you later! sounds like my friend brian
me:   then i must meet brian
Kelley:  you would fall in love instantly, he’s a riot
me:  obvs, he’s friends with you
Kelley:  aw
me:  you see what i did there? i complimented ME by complimenting YOU
Kelley:  hmmm, that’s not a backhanded compliment…so, what would you call that type of compliment?
me:  a selfish compliment? double compliment? doublement?
(pausing to think)
SELFLIMENT!
Kelley:  oh oh self-serving compliment! I love a good self-serving compliment
me:  i’m blogging about this instantly lest it get away from me
Kelley:  do it!

Psh, and here I was wondering what I would blog about today…and if you’re wondering, our conversation originally referred to this video, which almost made me pee.
