Science experiment revisited

Many moons ago when I was in school, we did a “science experiment” while studying the senses. You had to close your eyes and smell a pear while eating an apple (or vice versa), the lesson being that smell trumps taste when all other identifying variables such as texture are removed.

That just happened to me while eating a clementine and having mustard sitting on a plate within smelling distance. HORK.
