The plan after the plan

I need a plan, yo. I NEED a plan. My current state of “I want to run and I want to drink less and lose weight and I want I want I want” is simply not working. Couch to 5K was great, but it ended months ago. I can’t keep taking advantage of my body’s muscle memory by shocking it with random 2-3 mile runs every week or two. Simply not ok. I’m all moved into my new place, healing of the heart is ongoing, and it’s the absolute PERFECT time for a new plan.
So, starting today, the new plan is as follows:
  • 2 x 30 min runs during the week
  • 1 long run on the weekend, increasing by 1/2 mile each week until it gets ridiculous
That’s it. That’s the plan. I will add other stuff in there as I go (speed work, cross training, weights, etc) but for now…that’s THE PLAN.

OH and p.s. lost 0.6 pounds last week. It’ll do.

  3. Young or old (I left the "young" category but refuse to say I've arrived at "old" yet) we do need a plan. My exercise routine will pale in comparison to yours but we all have to do something. Plans are good! Enjoy the journey, as they say!
