Good pranks are those that take a while from act to fruition…you lay your trap and wait with sweet anticipation for the moment of discovery. This happened one time when my friend Beth and I were out for a walk. We stopped by a house where a bunch of our guy friends lived. As we rounded the corner of the driveway, we noticed that the grill was going, but had been left unattended. After a quick mischievous side-eye to each other, we quickly ran over and scooped the two burgers off the grill with the spatula and went to hide around the corner of the house. After waiting for what felt like hours, we heard the door open and footsteps approaching the grill. The sound of the grill cover going up…pause…and then an audible “What the..?” It was all we could do to not die laughing. The footsteps then ran back into the house where we heard the angry chef yelling out to the rest of the roommates to see if they took his burgers. They of course were thoroughly confused and we of course were shaking with silent laughter in our hiding place. Eventually we were busted when our victim spotted the spatula wobbling around the corner.
A couple of months ago I struck again. There is a kid I went to high school with who is now quite famous internationally. A few of my friends and I enjoy looking at his boy band pictures and all of the pictures on Facebook posted by his adoring fans. My friend and I found the picture below and couldn’t resist printing it, ‘autographing’ it, and sending it by mail anonymously to our other friend. Gold, I tell you. GOLD! The best part was forgetting all about it and having her call me 4 days later to say, “You will NOT believe what I just got in the mail!!!” (We then told her that we heard he automatically sent an autographed photo to anyone who viewed his Facebook profile more than 50 times in one week. Again, gold.)
Bottom line is...
I died laughing...Mark Terenzi!! :)
